Everyone loves Dubai – be it families, friends, businesspeople, honeymooners or solo travellers. When you rope in kids into this mix, it is bound to change some things in your itinerary – but that doesn’t mean less fun for you! Luckily, Dubai is a place where parents and kids can relax and enjoy together (or separately) in safe premises. Here are 6 ways in which you and your kids can enjoy themselves!
Themed Amusement Park
There are many amusement parks and themed areas to explore in Dubai. These include IMG Worlds of Adventure, MOTIONGATE, Bollywood Parks, LEGOLAND, KidZania and Glow Garden, to name a few. Here, you can find colourful rides, interesting food and cheerful characters targeted at your tiny tot to keep them engaged.
Waterparks (Wild Wadi)
Waterparks are a great way to have fun – in any setting. The Wild Wadi Waterpark is one of the most famous in Dubai, especially due to its long and exciting waterslides. Another park is Aquaventure – minimum heights for kids vary; Wild Wadi has its limit at 1.1m while Aquaventure is at 1.2 metres.
Ski Dubai is the place to ski if you want a year-round snowy experience. It maintains a temperature of -1 degrees Celsius, and includes snowboarding, ziplining and skiing activities. It is located inside one of the largest shopping malls in the world; the Mall of the Emirates – which means you can combine shopping and skiing in one wholesome experience!
Bounce Dubai & Air Maniax
Both Bounce Dubai and Air Maniax are parks aimed at all ages. The first is an indoor trampoline park, with loads of different types and sizes for you to jump, skip and hop on. Air Maniax, on the other hand, takes it a bit further – it is a whole interactive inflatable adventure, full of colourful mazes. These parks are not just great for kids, but are an amazing place to let your inner child roam free as well!
Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is the perfect place to spend a day with your kids without even noticing how fast time flies. It is home to 140 different species of marine life, and even has underwater passageways that make you feel like you are walking on the seabed with thousands of fish swimming around you. A great place to educate your child on the wonders of the underwater world as well!
Last but not least, OliOli is a children’s museum that merges art, design and fun into an immersive experience for both you and your children. It is an interactive museum, which means that your child doesn’t have to hold your hand and walk through the building – they can play with the exhibitions and even climb over and under some! The best part is that one adult gets to go free of cost with your child.
