Before the Covid-19 hit, Thailand was the World’s top foreign destination. Many would flock to Bangkok or Phuket, and if they didn’t, they definitely knew about it at least.

Attractions:

Phuket, Bangkok and Phi Phi Islands (Koh Phi Phi) are some of the most visited sights in Thailand. Night markets are another popular attraction: bustling and much-visited, with their scrumptious local food and inexpensive clothing. Chiang Mai’s Sunday Walking Street may also tickle your tastebuds. They also have the cool concept of floating markets, on long, thin boats with fresh produce. Bangkok’s Grand Palace, Khao Yai National Park, Sukothai Old City, Ayutthaya, and Doi Suthep are other popular tourist attractions.

Air Connectivity:- Thailand has 2 direct flights available from India, one to Bangkok and one to Phuket. However, they have a total of 28 flights to Thailand, and even to regions like Udon Thani, Krabi and Ranong.

Flight Duration:- Flights can vary anywhere from 4 to 15 hours (sometimes more). This depends on the number of stops and the departure (and arrival) airports.

Visa Requirements:

Thailand does offer an e-visa for Indians. The documents required include your passport, 2 recent coloured photographs and proof of travel tickets. The application form must be filled, bank statements and proof of hotel accommodation must also be provided. Those who apply for multiple-entry visas must also show proof of residence in India.

For such a small country, Singapore really packs a punch. It has things to do for people arriving for both business and leisure purposes. Services here are of the highest quality, and are easily available – relaxing spas or thrilling theme parks, take your pick! In addition to this Singapore has a booming tertiary sector.

If you thought that you needed to get out of the airport to experience Singapore, think again. Changi Airport is a marvel in itself: it has been rated World’s best airport by Skytrax from 2013 till 2019! The country terms Jewel Changi Airport as a “Multi-dimensional Tourist Destination”. Here are some of the offerings – world-class spas, retail shopping centres and exclusive menus in plenty of restaurants and cafes. Arguably some of the favourite attractions are the rain vortex, hedge maze, sky nets and canopy bridge.

Attractions:

Once outside the airport, some the top attractions are Universal Studios, Resorts World Sentosa, Clarke Quay, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Night Safari, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Singapore Flyer & Marina Bay Sands.

Air Connectivity – Singapore is well connected with India with direct flights from 12 cities – Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Trivandrum and Tiruchirapalli.

Flight Time – Varies from 4-6 hours depending on which part of India you are taking the trip. This makes it even more appealing, as you won’t feel jet-lagged the minute you reach!

Visa Requirements:

Indian citizens need a visa to travel to Singapore, and are not eligible for a visa on-arrival. Apply for a Singapore visa hassle-free online with the Visa2Fly Singapore Visa.

Image by <a href="https://pixabay.com/users/PatternPictures-622877/?utm_source=link-attribution&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=image&utm_content=1128815">PatternPictures</a> from <a href="https://pixabay.com/?utm_source=link-attribution&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=image&utm_content=1128815">Pixabay</a>

The United States of America is a really large country. It is the centre of many trade operations, and MNC’s (Multinational Companies) as well. Similar to UK, many students and working professionals choose the USA as a destination for their dream. This is because Harvard, Stanford and Yale are all from the USA, and also many billion-dollar companies such as Apple and Google. The second-tier companies and universities are also top-class, and often do very well on the World ranking lists.

Attractions:

USA’s most famous areas include Los Angeles (complete with Hollywood sign and all). New York (Times Square, Central Park and the Statue Of Liberty) is also on this list, with San Francisco. The Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks and Lake Tahoe are also interesting natural wonders. Hawaii is also part of USA – the island’s Maui and Honolulu areas are very well-reputed also. Many adventure sports lovers also come to Idaho or California.

Air Connectivity:- Direct flights to 4 airports (San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC and New York) are available. Other than these, there are more than 40 connecting flights to many different regions, from the West Coast to the East Coast.

Flight Time:- We chose New York as our destination for this statistic, because New York receives the most tourists from India. These flights (from Delhi) last around 15.5 hours if they’re non-stop. If connecting, most range between 20-40 hours. The longest is a 51.5 hour flight, just in case you needed that fun fact!

Visa Requirements:

It is possible to apply for a US visa online. You will need to fill Form DS-160, with a photograph (passport-sized) and passport. You will receive an appointment letter, for an interview you will need to attend. Supporting documents may include tax returns, a travel itinerary, proof of funds (in the form of bank statements, copy of passbook, any other proof of cash), PAN card, or a business card (if you have one).

In the year 2016, around 12 Lakh Indians visited the USA. Of this, the most visited city was New York, with Times Square and Central Park. The USA is also among the countries that receives the highest number of visa applications from Indians. It’s safe to say there is merit in visiting, if you go by these numbers! And if you do feel convinced, Visa2Fly’s USA Visa page is here to help! We have services for obtaining a USA tourist visa, USA transit visa and a USA business visa. For all three, you can apply visa online and we will be here to assist you at every step.

UAE is the second most popular destination for  Indian tourists. It’s almost certain that you might know of someone who lives there, or has recently visited the Emirates! And it’s not just tourism – many Indians migrate to UAE for work purposes as well. Gulf countries have become increasingly significant in terms of business, with their oil and other industries. This indicates that relations between the two countries are good, thus enabling a better tourist experience.

Attractions –

There are many things to do in Dubai, and in UAE. Being the leader in the tallest skyscraper in the world, the Burj Khalifa sits grand. Motiongate, Legoland and the many beautiful aquariums, zoos (and even a ski park!) are also waiting for your Dubai Visit. You can also try Abu Dhabi day tours, where they take you around the city. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, as well as the Louvre Abu Dhabi are some crowd favourites. Don’t miss other attractions such as Warner Bros. World and Ferrari World while you’re there! Sand dune safaris, as well as yacht rides are also some amazing experiences available.

Air Connectivity – The Emirates are well connected with India with direct flights from 19 cities – Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kannur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Trivandrum and Tiruchirapalli.

UK has more to offer than just tourism when it comes to Indian foreigners. They have some of the highest-ranked universities in the World. With the likes of Cambridge and Oxford being the cream of the cake, many students worldwide opt to study here. The standard of education seems to be very high, so many Indians choose the UK for higher education.

Indians also immigrate for work reasons, as many high-level companies also have quarters/headquarters in this country. For this reason, many Indians may go to visit their working/studying relatives, for example. They might also be one of the working/studying people, or may go just for the fun of it.

Tourism in the UK is varied and interesting. You can visit the home of the Queen, or the famous Stonehenge… Have high tea in the nation that started it, or visit one of their many gardens and botanical wonderlands. Air Connectivity:- There are 2 direct flights from India to UK, one to London and one to Birmingham. In total, there are 18 different cities that support flights from India – it’s safe to say that we are pretty well-connected!
